I've been an ardent PC GAMER since I learn the use of the computer keyboard back in my primary school days but Electronic Gaming started earlier than that...during my kindergarten years ;]

So goes to show that I've been into GAMING before COSPLAY and PHOTOGRAPHY came. However, I've lost interest in it since PC Gaming is somewhat tedious due to the fact that

1. You must have the NEWEST HARDWARE to play the NEWEST GAMES.
2. You must have your newest OPERATING SYSTEM to operate the NEWEST HARDWARE
3. You install the GAMES into your PC (not like the consoles where you pop the DVD in and you're GAME), which takes time.

So far I'm having a simple P4, 1GB Ram and a basic ATI X1650 Display card which made me unable to play any game that came out after 2007 but...

THAT HAS CHANGED SINCE 27TH OF MAY

I replaced my old hardware with the following

My P4 2.4Ghz(Single Core) ----> AMD X2 7750+
My 1GB DDR Ram ---------------> Kingston 4GB DDR2
My X1650 Display -------------> Sapphire Vapor-X HD4850 1GB

and I've just reawaken my PC GAMER again...now I've been spending my time with

( GAMES GALORE )

And due to these Games influences, I've though about possible cosplay plans thanks to them

Okie Dokie, that's de update from me after such a long long time!!!

Several things happened since my previous post. My post on my cosplay plans for 2009, I've decided to

SCRAP THEM

So I come out with the following plans for the following cosplays...one of them I've made it already.

1. GLADIATOR MAXIMUS DESIMUS MERIDIUS

For ACGC(DONE) and Anicom(Chainmail version)

2. RADITZ or TOMA



For GACC

3. SID BARETT and EX-DEATH




For COMIC FIESTA 2009

So hopefully all these would come to Fruitation. Ganbatte!!

Now I'm feeling a little drenched out and sick due to Weather induced FLU and Stomach Upset..might be mild food poisoning also. But I'm strong enough to go to work and post this journal. A little rest and relaxation with lots of PATIENCE will be my Remedy of the day.

OKOK...to start off my first journal entry for 2009, I'm gonna talk about my cosplay plans for 2009.
For starters, I'm going to do many cosplays this year. Two of them gonna be Recycled ones

1. DOC OCK



DOC OCK is not pleased with his debut at Comic Fiesta last month and wants to ENCORE this GACC in August but repairs need to be made on his tentacles and mechanical robotic fingers at once for that to happen.

2. DOCTOR DOOM



After THREE years in Hibernation. DOCTOR DOOM will return as his movie persona at Cosfest 2009 hopefully to turn heads as he did last time in 2005.

Apart from recycled ones, I also planned to do three new ones which I've been planning...one since before the advent of DOCTOR DOOM while the other two, just recently.

3. RADITZ OF DRAGONBALL



After watching Dragonball Z's newest OVA, I got the urge to do Dragonball cosplay and the only one with I could think off is Raditz...Goku's Evil and Bad Ass Brother.

4. PHOENIX IKKI OF SAINT SEIYA



I've been watching Saint Seiya again recently and it suddenly occurred to me. I should do a Saint Seiya Cosplay since it is also one of my favorite Anime series since Form 1. So gonna plan to do my favorite character...THE MOST POWERFUL BRONZE SAINT OF THEM ALL, PHOENIX IKKI.

5. DEATH KNIGHT LORD SOTH OF DRAGONLANCE



And for the great FINALE...The Mother of All Cosplay Projects of 2009. The Character which fascinated me since I was a child when I saw for the first time his image on a T-Shirt. The Fallen Knight of Solemnia, Lord Laurent Soth of Dragonlance Saga.

GUESS FOR 2009, IT IS STILL A YEAR FOR BAD ASS AND EVIL CHARACTER FOR ME. HAHA

Just got back to Ipoh from ComicFiesta 2008. Have not processed any of my photos for CF2008 but just a few of my costume for the 2nd day

Been searching high and low on something on Cosplay Photography over the net. Finally I stumbled upon this article on it from UK...from this cosplay webpage ---> cosplayisland.co.uk

With the ubiquity of cheap digital cameras today, any given anime convention is awash with people photographing the costumes on display. Traipsing through the aftermath of conventions on forums and photo sharing websites one would be perhaps forgiven for being a little disappointed at the thought that goes into some of the photos on display. They can often be hurriedly composed, one-shot affairs taken more as a record of the event - a reminder of a costume - than an honest effort to record the quality of it.

Cosplay photography can make or break a costume. Although the costume is worn for only a day or two, the photographs live on long after the original clothing has been stuffed in the back of your wardrobe. The photos end up in cosplay profiles, blogs, forums and photo sharing sites for months and years to come. As someone who is photographing someone else's costume you should do your best to make the outfit look as good as possible. Reading about COSFEST and looking at the pictures posted remind me how long I've not cosplayed at an event or doing any cosplay projects at all. also how much I miss cosplaying.

So for my next cosplay event which will be COMICFIESTA 2008, I've rounded up two of my greatest aspirations.


DOCTOR OCTOPUS - Which i think uses less materials(especially aluminium) but at the cost of using the extreme craftmanship skills imaginable.


IRONMAN MK1 - Which uses more materials but is much simpler to design than tentacles

So I can only choose ONE and based on my previous CF Time tables

CF 2004 - RO CRUSADER(GOOD GUY)
CF 2005 - DR DOOM(BAD GUY)
CF 2006 - KIKUCHIYO(GOOD GUY)
CF 2007 - GLADIATOR(MIDDLE GUY...NEITHER GOOD NOT BAD)
CF 2008 - ITS EITHER GOOD OR BAD NOT MIDDLE

I'm not sure about this but something tells me that...THIS WILL BE MY

These photos are fresh from the press...just taken a less than two hours ago.
I cosplayed as Kikuchiyo of Samurai SEVEN...the same costume I wore at ComicFiesta 2006 during my college's food and fun fair event today.

Since I'm the only cosplayer there so I renamed this album as THE LONESOME COSPLAYER...apparently lost in translation.

During CF06, I can practically last from the beginning till the end of the event thanks to the powerful aircon of Sekolah Sri Sadaya Hall.
But I could hardly stand under the hot morning sun for an hour...so taking a few intervals.

Suit Up...Cosplay...Suit Down...Relax...Suit Up...Cosplay...Suit Down...Relax...Suit Up...Cosplay...Suit Down...Relax...Suit Up...Cosplay...Suit Down...Relax...Suit Up...Cosplay...Suit Down...Relax...Suit Up...Cosplay...Suit Down...Relax...Suit Up...Cosplay...Suit Down...Relax...and so forth

I'm having lunch now...after that I've class and two half and hour breaks...so I'll redo it again but I think of reducing my costume a bit.

But I'll only wear it during my college's OPEN DAY which is TOMORROW between 9.30am till NOON but to the fact the Heat will kill me and my classes cannot be postponed or cancelled.

Day two started without much of a hitch with a good leisure breakfast rather than the rush rush event the day before. This time I'll be heavy loaded with both my camera equipment(should've brought my compact with me) as well as cosplaying...this time its gonna be GLADIATOR but it was a rushed job that it wasn't up to my specifications as well as some of the costume broke apart and impede my movements in character as well as photoshooting.

Anyway...here's what comes in the second day of CF...starts as usual at 11am.

An after note...right after CF2007's official closure...I went for dinner...spend some time at Border(currently my favourite bookstore) and helped out the logistics of Ending CF2007 completely(returning the rented chairs, tables and stuffs to the lorries below), a really tough undertaking but Hell Yeah...its good strength practice hehe

Ending the day with Supper and hittting the sack at 3am....waking up at 10am the next day to pack up b'cos my bus back to Ipoh is 2pm...guess its bye bye to cosplaying for now...maybe till GACC08

ComicFiesta 2007 is a blast! Even though I miss the prospects of being in the competition since I didn't join it this year but I'll be doing so for 2008.

Anyway...I left Ipoh on Friday 14th at 6.30pm and reaching KL about 10pm but managed to reach Sunway about 11 to say at Blood Angel's place...however technical problems there made us stayed at another friend's(Snakie) place in Sri Petaling and by the time we hit the sack....it was 4am after a delicious ipoh import meal...Salted Steamed chicken. ^~^

Had to cut short my CF outing short due to the fact that I was depending on a friend to take me back to Sri Petaling and he needs to go back about 4pm so which ends CF for me for the day.

Back at his place...we had Dinner with his family...quite a good family if you ask me...kinda reminds me of mine as well.

After dinner its back to rest but no time to rest for me...there's still a few things to do on my costume before the next CF day.
Dropped off at about 2am this time...after viewing photos and videos we took on the first day hehe.
