a week before Jesus-sama invited Dad to Heaven for an Eternal Golf Game.
and
After three years of service and one or more services + repairs along the way, I decided its time to upgrade...the Full Frame Wonder Nikon D700 is way out of my Budget and Nikon's Monster Range (D3,D3s and D3X) definitely cannot...unless I win tonite's and tomolo's TOTO Jackpot.

So I decided to get the next best thing



Nikon D300s which I managed to scrape the bottom of barrel for it. Thanks Savings Account, Credit Card and Night Class Work.

And as for those who wanted me to join the White Puritans, stating that some Pro Photographers have done just that and I should follow suit.

Morning, before work...go walk for 30 minutes with a 15KG Backpack and after work, go home to do some Weights based on Arnold Schwarzenegger Beginners Weight Training Plan

MONDAY : CHEST AND BACK
TUESDAY : ARMS AND SHOULDER
WEDNESDAY : THIGHS AND LEGS

Repeat again

THURSDAY : CHEST AND BACK
FRIDAY : ARMS AND SHOULDER
SATURDAY : THIGHS AND LEGS

SUNDAY will be REST Day but I'll call it CARDIO Day for Walking, Running, Skip Roping and Exercise Biking.

Also I'm changing my diet a little...Skip the Nasi Lemak, Roti Canai, Roti Telur or Meehun Goreng for Breakfast, instead go for Banana, HalfBoiled Eggs and Toast or Wholemeal Sardine/Bean Sandwiches.

Hopefully by July's Cosfest...my figure is fit enough to be HIM.

Well, its been a while since I've updated my LJ....no thanks to the extremely addictive effects of FB.

For starters...I'm no longer committee member of my Photoclub FOTO IMEJ PERAK(FIP). Lost it to a fellow photographer who I consider my opposite(in attitude and views) by a landslide of votes due to his popularity in the club. Well, guess I'm destined for something else...namely my ARMOR Projects of Cosplay and other planning Cosplay Photoshoots.

Also, as for my photography, I'm yet to discover my style and still at the crossroads of whether I should stay in the conventional style(possibly hidden inside my comfort zone and unable to break into anything new)
or break away into the unbridled artistic avant-garde photography(might not be appreciated by the older thinking photographer generation.
So, I'll need to decide for myself soon on this, time is not really on my side.
Slowly but surely, I starting to love the DECISIVE MOMENT and Street Photography as well...I just love to take walks with my camera but I'm a little concern with the nature of the streets now. Snatch Thefts, Muggings, Confused people on photography and many others. I want the WISDOM of Joel Meyerowitz, Garry Winogrand, Robert Frank and William Klein for this.

GACC is over and gone for good(until someone else take up its reins again), this time I went back to my roots of making a pure Armor cosplay which I'm proud of event if I lost sleep over it. TADAKATSU HONDA, I'm really proud of you but I can't say the same for EX-DEATH(CF 2009) which I've turn him into Bits and Pieces for MBI's Alam Flora.

Cosplay's been in my blood since 2002 and it has grown even stronger...much stronger than my photography I suspect. 2010 will mark more Armor Cosplays...might even consider one for COSFEST...logistics and economics must be considered first of course.

As for the things around me...POLITICS is too much, I'll just watch it as a Sandiwara Semasa.
I'm more interested in Social issues like Education Matters (Getting A's syndrome, Terrible English of students/Teachers nowadays etc etc etc) and 'Common Sense Required' Matters (Banning to things deemed 'HARAM' by some, Bigoted views of NGOs, Stupid Comments of people nowadays etc etc etc)...as for the issue of calls to BAN a CONCERT because its too Racy, sometimes or most of the times people did not use their freedom of choice,

IF YOU DON'T LIKE IT, DON'T WATCH IT!
AND
DON'T FORCE OTHERS TO FOLLOW YOU SINCE ITS THEIR CHOICE, NOT YOURS.

2010 came and is it now 2010 Chinese Edition...like every year, I tend to make my new year resolutions...like previous years...I failed miserably to achieve them...namely this one

TO IMPROVE MY PHOTOGRAPHY

So far I could estimate that this had been going downhill since 2007 till the end of 2009 when i realized it thru several faithful encounters...named attending a few of a wedding masterclass session with a renowned wedding photographer which confirm my greatest fear...MY DETERIORATED PHOTOGRAPHIC SKILLS AND PASSION

Now here's the trick...How on Earth would I improve my skills...I have a few options.

1) Purchase new technology that would give me an advantage when shooting photos as claimed by the Camera companies a.k.a. BUY THIS CAMERA AND YOU'LL SOOT BETTER PICTURES

2) Clink onto a Photography Master(a live one of course) like a crustacean and learn every trick he/she knows of the game of photography. Some of my friends are doing that.

3) Learn HISTORY. Get to know the old masters of photography like Henri Cartier Bresson, Alfred Eisenstaedt etc etc and newer ones like Joel Meyerowitz, Steve McCurry etc etc from their Photographs, Notes, Interviews and Documentaries.

So these are the options I have to consider...which one should I choose? Well...here are what I thought of them...the options

Choice NO. 1
It will break my bank account but it is the easiest way to get the job done. However, there is a higher chance that my photography level will remain stagnated. Probably I would sink into the level of a GEARHEAD(Shoot Crap but got the best photographic gear out there)

Choice NO. 2
A good chance to learn something here, useful or worthless. Namely because Malaysians never teach you everything for fear that you would surpass them somehow. And what if I follow a master which I perceive as a master but he/she isn't...just an upstart who thinks he/she is one

Choice NO. 3
Would be the hardest path to choose since I need to figure out for myself how to shoot photos based on the clues given in several different perspectives. But if I do figure them out, it would give me great insight about photography itself since these masters did not have the gear advantages like what we have now...they use their own mettle and skill to shoot iconic photos that we all know and cherish now.

So I decided on the 3rd Option since it is better for me to figure out for myself what photography is to me in the first place. It would a lot of hard work, patience and persistence to finally understand what makes my own Photography click.

As today is my Birthday as well, I'll make is my birthday wish as well to learn as much as possible from the old master since i know this

JAW DROPPING PHOTOGRAPHS

Many of my friends are thinking this is a folly since the digital age is at it peak but I'm sticking to my guns and probably ruffle a few feathers along the way, its unavoidable btw. I make this choice for myself to learn from the original photographers and I respect the choice other made for themselves whether to shoot in color or black n' white, compact camera or massive view camera, film or digital.

Guess what? I watched this movie way back when i was a kid and I'm still in love with the movie. I'm really a sukka for Greek Mythology and Heroes. Here are the trailers of both
